Applying to Vaughan College

What are the admissions deadlines?
You can apply to Vaughan College at any time of the year. We operate on a rolling admissions basis, so applications are reviewed as they arrive.
How do I register?
There are four steps: submit an inquiry, complete the application, receive a confirmation of acceptance, and pay the registration fee. You can begin the process by email, by phone, or via the chat widget on this site.
Is Vaughan College a yearly school or a semester school?
Vaughan College operates on a semester system. Fall runs September through January, Winter runs February through June, and summer sessions run July through August.
What is the class size at Vaughan College Private School?
The teacher-to-student ratio is typically 1:10. We keep classes small on purpose, because it is central to how we teach.

Credentials and credits

Is Vaughan College accredited to issue credits and the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)?
Yes. Vaughan College's Ministry BSID# is 666098 and we are listed on the Ministry's official private-school contact directory. We are accredited as a private high school approved by Ontario's Ministry of Education to grant credits toward the OSSD, and we follow the Ontario curriculum. The diploma is recognized internationally.
If I am registered at another school, can I still take a credit course with Vaughan College?
Yes. Upon completion of any credit course, Vaughan College issues a report card and sends a copy directly to the student's regular school for inclusion on their transcript.
Can I register for a credit course and earn an OSSD without needing a study permit to come to Canada?
Our live online classrooms allow students to study from anywhere in the world. With reliable internet and a computer, students globally can earn recognized Ontario credits remotely without entering Canada.

Yes. We offer a 10% discount on tuition for the second and third siblings enrolled at Vaughan College.

Beyond the day school

What other services does Vaughan College offer?
Beyond full-time enrollment, we offer Night School, Summer School, individual credit courses, and tutoring services for students from Grade 7 through university level. Part-time enrollment is available for credit-seeking students from other schools.
Does Vaughan College offer provincial examinations or other tutoring services?
Yes. We administer the Grade 10 provincial examinations on site and prepare students for AP, IB, IGCSE, and ASCI programs. Tutoring is available for current and external students.
Are there extracurricular activities or clubs?
Yes. Beyond the credit programs, students can join the school's after-hours Music Club, which meets weekly during the academic year for students who play, sing, or want to learn an instrument alongside classmates. Our guidance team also coordinates university campus visits and informal study groups throughout the year.
