Student Stories

In their own words.

These are some of the students and alumni who have spent their years with us, telling you what the school has meant to them.

From the Students

What our students say about the school.

The most useful thing we can show you about Vaughan College isn’t our curriculum or our calendar. It is the testimony of the people who have spent years inside the building: the students who arrived with hesitation and left with confidence, the alumni who still check in, the parents who quietly recommend us to their friends.

The voices below are theirs. We have gathered a few of them here so you can hear what the school is like from the students who know it best.

Jacqueline Amato

Alumna, Grade 12

Thanks to Vaughan College for helping me in my academic journey. As an average student with modest grades, I hesitated about attending a private school. However Vaughan College proved to be the right choice. The dedicated teachers and small class sizes allowed for personalized attention, helping me bridge the gaps in my understanding. One of the most significant benefits was the school's focus on test preparation. The staff truly cares about their students, going above and beyond to ensure our success. Through individualized guidance, I was able to overcome my test-taking anxiety and significantly improve my scores.

Vaughan College prepared me academically and instilled in me a strong work ethic and a love for learning.

Adam Szocs

Alumnus, Grade 12

I have attended Vaughan College for the past two years. During this time, I took credit courses twice: once in the summer of 2013, when I completed Grade 12 English, and again in the spring of 2014, when I took Calculus and Vectors. Additionally, I needed tutoring for Chemistry, Advanced Functions, and Data Management. I have always been impressed with the quality of the school, the teaching, and the way things are run. As a student, you want a place that values education over financial gain, and that's exactly what Vaughan College provides. I was never once encouraged to leave after my tutoring sessions, even if I needed more help. The teachers genuinely care about our success and want us to excel in everything we do.

They take the time to address any questions or concerns we have, and their dedication to helping us succeed is evident.

Vaughan College is a school all about academics. I go to classes each day, looking forward to learning. The teachers are present every day to teach. They are always motivating and encouraging me to work to the best of my ability. They are always available to help me when I need help. This school provides me with everything I need to be the best academically, but this isn't like most schools where grades are just given to you. The school, students and teachers provide students with healthy competition which is another way to motivate a student.

This school gives me everything I need to do well academically, and I will be one of only students that look forward to coming to school each day.
