The Four Components

We prepare students for every part of the test.

The IELTS Academic test is four components, scored on a band scale from 1 to 9. Our preparation gives each one the time it needs, with the strategies and timed practice that move a band score up.

Listening

Forty questions across four recordings, played once each. Students train on the conversational and academic-lecture passages the test uses, and on the listening strategies that lift a band score: prediction, signposting, and reading past the distractors a recording is designed to plant.

Reading

Three long academic passages, sixty minutes, forty questions. We work through the question types in the order they confuse most test-takers, with timed reading drills that close the gap between understanding a passage and answering the question actually being asked.

Writing

Two tasks in one hour, marked against four band descriptors. Students learn the structural moves examiners look for in Task 1 (describing a graph, table, or process) and Task 2 (a discursive essay), with feedback on grammar, vocabulary range, and coherence.

Speaking

A short, structured interview in three parts. Students practise the format under realistic conditions and receive feedback on fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary, and the grammatical accuracy the speaking band rewards.

How We Prepare

We teach IELTS prep in small classes.

Preparation runs in classes small enough for a teacher to hear every student speak and read every piece they write. Full practice tests under timed conditions show where a band score is being lost, and personalized feedback on writing and speaking turns that into specific, repeatable improvements.

Schedules are flexible. IELTS preparation runs as a daytime option for full-time students, in evening and weekend cohorts for part-time learners, and as one-on-one tutoring for students working toward a specific test date.

About IELTS

The English-language proof universities ask for.

The International English Language Testing System is among the most widely accepted English-language qualifications for university admission in Canada and abroad. For many international students, an IELTS Academic score is the document that turns a conditional offer into a confirmed university place. We prepare students to sit it with confidence.
